21 Quick Tips To Get in the Best Shape of Your Life

So today I tried going vintage shopping in LA…Yeah, 3 hours later, 4 stores later, and I found nada. I guess Girl Boss really did have a gift.

To state the blindingly obvious: unless you change the way you lived in 2018, you’ll see the same results you saw last year this year.

Anyways, I want to share with you 21 quick tips that I’ve learned over years of studying my body, science, and observing client progress.


  1. Focus on the quality of your food, gut, and organs. Not just calories.

  2. Modify your restaurant meals. Aka, double protein and replace the carbs with a salad. The waitress might hate you, but your body will love you.

  3. Always remind yourself of where you want to be and what you want to achieve.

  4. Learn how to make fitness easier with low effort, high impact strategies, aka nutrition science and quality movement patterns. 

  5. Eat protein rich in amino-acids. At least 30g per meal to optimize your fat burning and muscle definition.

  6. Hire a fitness expert to optimize your nutrition and movement to get you in the best shape of your life. Superstars focus on the value they receive, rather than the cost of the service.

  7. Drink more water, especially when you go to pee at 3 AM.

  8. Pick and choose your carbs, aka skip the rice and swap it for wine or ice cream.

  9. Reward yourself after your workouts with a nice espresso, tasty protein shake, or walk with the pup.

  10. When you say you’ll go to the gym, go. Stop overthinking and letting procrastination run your life.

  11. Cut the snacking. Instead, make your 3 or 4 meals a day a little bigger.

  12. Implement fasting into your diet more to optimize digestion, reduce insulin levels, and stabilize blood sugar.

  13. Focus your meals on quality protein, healthy fats, and fresh vegetables.

  14. Sleep at least 8 hours a night.

  15. Eat a salad a day. And make that shit taste good…it’s not that hard I promise.

  16. Avoid processed sugars, especially for breakfast.

  17. Health is wealth. Prioritize yourself.

  18. Write 5 daily goals a day. Small, consistent actions = big results.

  19. If you’re lacking motivation, get on a program. Structure can be helpful to help bring more momentum and clarity.

  20. Always listen to your body. Spend special attention to stability, core, and mobility to prevent injuries that may stall progress.
